This week I’ve resumed working for my clients and also resumed work on the
Obsidian Starter Kit. I’ve released new versions with tons of new features, new guides, and more will soon follow. During the last 30 days, I’ve sold 36 copies (~$700). So far, I’ve sold > 200 copies (209 at the time of writing), which is a lot more than I hoped when I started this project.
As planned, I’ve also started testing and tweaking my recording “studio” for the YouTube channel. I’m really delighted with how it looks with
my camera and with
the Philips Hue lights I bought last month. To go a bit further, I’ve ordered a light and a softbox. This should help better light my face :p
I’m really
not used to be on camera, so I’m really struggling, but learning something new is really FUN. Speaking of which, I still have everything to learn about video editing. I could take a shortcut and find someone to help me out, but at least for the first few videos, I want to give it a try on my own.
I still haven’t received all the parts for the new computer, so I can’t show much yet, even if I couldn’t wait to assemble what I already could (case fans, PSU, etc) ;-)
Next week I’ll publish a first YouTube video (an overview of the Obsidian Starter Kit) and will keep working on the Obsidian Starter Kit. I intend to record videos for it and add those as an optional buy for people who want to take the fast lane.
