LM Studio Mobile App

Canonical version: LM Studio Mobile App.

The official mobile companion to LM Studio, called Locally (acquired by LM Studio in 2026). It lets you use the Large Language Models (LLMs) running on your desktop computer from your phone, so a frontier-sized model executes at home while you chat from anywhere.

The bridge is LM Link — a feature in desktop LM Studio that securely connects your devices and exposes your local models remotely. All data and communication between devices is end-to-end encrypted, and chats are saved locally on each device.

Key points

  • Locally = the iOS app (iPhone + iPad, via the App Store); first version launched 4 June 2026.
  • LM Link = the desktop-side feature that pairs devices and serves your local models to them.
  • Compute stays on your machine — the phone is a remote client, not the inference engine.
  • End-to-end encrypted; chat history stored locally per device.
  • Preserves the AI Privacy / local-first benefit of LM Studio while adding mobile access.
