OpenWorker
Canonical version: OpenWorker.
OpenWorker is an open-source "AI coworker" announced by Andrew Ng, built with Rohit Prasad. It's an agent that doesn't just chat with you, but delivers FINISHED work. Polished documents and reports, Slack messages, calendar updates, customer briefs, alert triage; tasks completed across your files and everyday applications, with approval prompts before consequential actions.
Andrew Ng is explicitly building the open, privacy-preserving, model-independent option in a category the big labs are racing to own. Compare Claude Cowork, Anthropic's take on "agentic work for non-developers": same job, but tied to Claude and Anthropic's infrastructure. OpenWorker runs locally on your computer, keeps data on your machine except what goes to the LLM provider you picked, and works with GPT, Claude, Gemini, or open-weight models like Kimi, GLM, and DeepSeek via Ollama. You bring your own API keys.
