I Built an Obsidian Plugin to Sync My reMarkable Notes 📝
An Obsidian plugin that imports everything from your reMarkable tablet
I just published a new video showcasing a plugin I've built for Obsidian: reMarkable Sync.
If you use a reMarkable tablet for handwritten notes, you know they're basically trapped on the device. This plugin fixes that.
It connects to either the official reMarkable Cloud or a self-hosted rmfakecloud server, and syncs your notebook pages as images directly into your Obsidian vault.
What it does
- Connects to reMarkable Cloud or self-hosted rmfakecloud
- Sidebar panel to browse your notebooks
- Sync specific notebooks as images into your vault
- Preserves folder hierarchy from your reMarkable
- Import local .rmdoc files without a cloud connection
- Blank pages are skipped automatically
This is step one of my handwriting-to-text pipeline. The next plugin (coming soon) converts those images to actual Markdown text.
